When the connection drops
OctoQore is built for unreliable internet and power. On a device that has signed in before, daily work continues and syncs automatically when the connection returns.

- Receipts that need a payment account number
Why OctoQore
Most laboratories run on handovers: registration books, receipt books, paper result sheets and phone calls. Each handover is a place where a payment, a specimen or a report can slip.
OctoQore replaces those separate records with one connected record, so everyone works from the same picture and every action is traceable.
Workflow visibility
Lab Overview shows how many orders wait at each stage and how long turnaround takes, by test and branch.
Organised operations
Queues put the longest wait first, so collection, receiving and approval work in a clear order.
Connected processes
Payment, specimen, result and report are linked to the same order, from the front desk onwards.
Operational oversight
Owners see revenue, unpaid balances and each cashier’s closed day, with differences explained.
User accountability
Each person signs in with their own account, and their actions are recorded against their name.
What OctoQore is not
- It does not diagnose or interpret results.
- It does not check professional registration or licences.
- It is not an approval or accreditation of your laboratory.
- It does not make a laboratory compliant by itself.
Each laboratory remains responsible for its own licensing, staffing, procedures and compliance, including data protection law that applies to it.
Security and accountability
OctoQore separates duties, records activity and controls report release, so you can answer who did what, and when.
Individual staff accounts
Everyone signs in with their own login. Accounts lock after repeated wrong passwords, and reset passwords must be changed at next sign-in.
Role-based access
Roles decide what each person sees and can do. Money access and result access can sit with different people.
Activity record
Lookups, views, edits, releases and exports are recorded with a name. The record cannot be edited, even by the owner.
Second-person approval
Changes to prices, reference ranges, templates and commission rules are proposed by one person and approved by another.
Report version history
An amendment needs a reason, creates a new version and keeps the previous one on record.

Questions laboratory owners ask
Answers come from the OctoQore Laboratory Operations Manual.
No. You run tests with your laboratory’s own methods and instruments and type the results in. OctoQore shows your approved reference range and flags abnormal and critical values as you enter them.
Yes, for short outages on a device that has signed in and loaded your laboratory’s data before. You can register patients, create orders, record payments, collection and receiving, and enter results. Approving and releasing reports needs a connection. Work syncs automatically when the connection returns.
Someone with both review and release rights: by default the owner, lab managers and reviewers. The person who entered, edited or submitted a result cannot approve it unless the owner switches on self-release in the results policy.
The receipt carries a secure link. The patient opens it and confirms the last four digits of their phone number. Reception can also print the released report, which carries a QR code so anyone can check it is genuine. Sending links by WhatsApp or SMS needs a messaging provider to be connected.
Someone with amend rights creates an amendment with a reason. This produces a new version of the report and keeps the old version on record. Corrections never overwrite.
Yes. The patient pays at least your laboratory’s minimum first payment (50% unless you change it) and the rest stays as a balance on the invoice. You can hold collection until that share is paid, and hold reports until the balance is cleared.
Yes. Staff are assigned to a branch, prices can be set per branch and client type, each cashier’s day is closed per branch, and Lab Overview shows turnaround by test and branch.
No. OctoQore gives you tools to follow your procedures and keep records. It is not an approval or accreditation of your laboratory, and each laboratory stays responsible for its own licensing, procedures and compliance. Ask your own legal adviser what applies to you.
Yes, at any time and in standard formats. Exports of patient data need the right permission, and every export is recorded with who took it.
Not yet for laboratory accounts. Today every person has their own account, accounts lock after repeated wrong passwords, and password resets issue a temporary password that must be changed at next sign-in.
